Can I vote?

You are eligible to vote at the local and regional election, if you:

• are above 18 years of age
• permanently reside in Denmark 
• are a Danish citizen

You do not need to be a Danish citizen. You are also eligible to vote if you:

• are a citizen of another EU Member State or Iceland, Norway or the UK
• or have been permanently residing in Denmark for at least 4 years

How do I vote?

• You will automatically receive a polling card a few days before the election
• Vote on November 18 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
• Your polling station is shown on your polling card. Hand your polling card to the keeper of the electoral register and state your date of birth. If you forget your polling card, the keeper of the electoral register will print one for you
• You will receive two ballot papers – one for the local election and one for the regional election
• Enter a cross on each ballot paper
• Place the ballot papers in the correct ballot boxes
