Vote Palestine in Aarhus
In Aarhus, the Palestine Solidarity Movement has started a campaign in continuation of the campaign in Copenhagen. The campaign is independent of political parties, and our goal is to push candidates to take real action.
Vote Palestine in Aarhus has three key demands for the candidates running for the Aarhus local (municipal) elections on November 18, 2025. The three demands for candidates in Aarhus Municipality are the same as Vote Paletine's demands for candidates in Copenhagen Municipality: divestment, figth racism and discrimination and protect pro-Palestinian freedom of expression

The following candidates in Aarhus Municipality have committed to Vote Palestine's three demands: divest municipal funds from companies that contribute to genocide and occupation; figth racism and discrimination against Muslims and people from the Global South; and protect freedom of expression for pro-Palestinian voices in Aarhus.

Divestment
Commit to ensuring that Aarhus Municipality does not invest in companies complicit in the genocide and occupation of the Palestinian population.
Aarhus Municipality currently holds investments of 468 million in 51 companies that are complicit in Israel's ongoing genocide against Palestinians and in companies connected to Israeli settlements. These companies appear on the BDS movement's list of businesses that directly profit from the genocide, and several are cited in UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese's June 2025 report, which highlights companies directly involved.
Fight racism
Commit
to actively combating anti-Muslim racism and discrimination against
fellow residents from the Global South in Aarhus Municipality.
Freedom of expression
Commit to protecting pro-Palestinian freedom of expression in Aarhus Municipality.
