The politicians in Copenhagen Municipality voted on divestment on November 13, 2025, but the proposal was not adopted. Alternativet, Enhedslisten, Radikale Venstre and Skamløse Demokrater voted in favour. Socialdemokratiet, SF, Konservative, Venstre and Liberal Alliance voted against. Vote Palestine
Vote Palestine is a campaign launched by a broad coalition within the Palestine solidarity movement in Copenhagen. We are independent of political parties, and our goal is to push candidates to take real action. We stand for justice and human rights for the people of Palestine, for pro-Palestinian freedom of expression, and for a city where all can be safe.
Vote Palestine has three key demands for the candidates running for the Copenhagen local (municipal) elections on November 18, 2025.
DIVESTMENT
Take responsibility and prioritize human rights by divesting 1.2 billion from companies complicit in genocide and occupation.
FIGHT RACISM
Combat the growing anti-Muslim racism and discrimination against fellow residents with roots in the Global South.
Protect pro-Palestinian freedom of expression everywhere in the city of Copenhagen - on the streets, in cultural spaces, at workplaces and in schools.
